Welcome to My Inspired Home. I am Lauren and this is a crazy world where I learn and share how I craft, cook, eat, live, love and lose my mind. I'm passionate about a lot of things and love that there are other people out there like me that want to know more about all of this stuff.

I married this guy, Tony, in 2010 after dating 6 years. He is my hero, my best friend, and my favorite partner in crime. He is a construction manager at a local home builder, so he provides much of the technical information. If he had a dollar for every time he heard, "So if I wanted to tear this out, and put this in...could we do that? How much? How long? Blah, Blah, Blah" , he would be a gajillionare!

We don't have any kids, but we DO have little ones! We are the people who think the dogs are a part of the family. Meet Maggie and Vincent.

We live in Dallas, TX and bought our first house back in 2009. We have spent the past couple of years SLOWLY chipping away at some minor renovating. Our house was built in 2005, so it didn't need any major repairs, just a little personality! Over the course of our renovations in the house and even trying to decorate our MANY apartments to make them feel more like home, I fell in love with home decor. At some point it actually donned on me to document the trials and tribulations that go on under this roof, so here I am. I closed my eyes, plugged my nose, took a deep breath and dove head first into the blogisphere. Here's to hoping my bathing suit doesn't pop off the minute I hit the water!
